Here’s a breakdown of where homes in and around Charlotte are selling above or below asking price, based on data from the real estate company Redfin:

Where are homes selling for above asking price in Charlotte?

Of Charlotte area ZIP codes, homes were selling, on average, above asking price in 35 ZIP codes as of December, Redfin’s data shows.

The highest rate was in the 28214 ZIP code, which includes the Arlington and Woodford Green neighborhoods. Homes there sold for an average of 2.9% over the listing price.

The lowest positive rate was in the 28164 ZIP code, which includes the Stanley, Lucia and Lowesville communities. Home there sold above asking price on average, but only by a rate of 0.04%.

Where are homes selling for below asking price in Charlotte?

Some ZIP codes — six, according to Redfin’s data — actually saw homes selling below asking price on average.

The 28207 ZIP code — which includes parts of the Eastover, Cherry and Myers Park neighborhoods — has the lowest rate, with homes selling, on average, 2.1% under listing price.

Homes in the 28209 ZIP code — made up of parts of the Sedgefield, Freedom Park, Montford, Madison Park and Barclay Downs neighborhoods — were the closest, on average, to going at asking price. Those typically sold for 0.01% below listing price.
