No threat found after Atrium Health office evacuation in Charlotte

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police bomb squad investigated a suspicious package and found no threat existed at an Atrium Health corporate office near Charlotte Douglas International Airport Tuesday afternoon.

Police were seen leaving the area in the 4400 block of Golf Acres Drive just before 4 p.m., signaling no threat was discovered.

In a tweet just before 3:30 p.m. police alerted the public in a tweet to avoid the area.

Atrium evacuated the building on its own before police arrived, CMPD said on Twitter.
