Charlotte Marathon street closures and map: Thousands hit streets Saturday
Drivers should stay alert to partial and full street closures in and around uptown Charlotte on Saturday as thousands of runners and walkers join the annual Novant Health Charlotte Marathon and related events.
The marathon, half-marathon, relays and a 5K all begin just before or after 7:30 a.m., and a Finish Line Festival is held on Mint Street, according to the event website, TheCharlotteMarathon.com.
Races start on Graham Street between 3rd and 4th streets and finish on 4th Street near Mint Street. The routes go into NoDa and the Elizabeth and Dilworth neighborhoods.
Runners in the 5K typically finish around 7:55 a.m., half marathon runners around 8:35 a.m. and full marathon competitors about 9:50 a.m.
The Finish Line Festival will feature vendors, food trucks, DJ Rosice and giveaways.
