The grand opening for Charlotte’s new Lego store has been set for late August.

A post on the toy maker’s Facebook page says a celebration of the new SouthPark mall location will be held Aug. 21-23.

Children who stop by during that time will be able to help create an 8-foot model of a ninja hero that’s part of the Lego Ninjago series.

It’s unclear whether the store will open its doors beforehand. A message left with Lego spokesman was not immediately returned. A more detailed agenda for the grand opening has also not yet been provided.

When it opens, the SouthPark mall location will be the Charlotte area’s second Lego store. The other is in Concord Mills. The SouthPark location is expected to be in the Nordstrom wing.
