15-year-old girl missing, last seen in Charlotte neighborhood, police say

A 15-year-old girl has gone missing and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is asking for the public’s help to locate her.

Serenity Angel Strickland was last seen in the 8900 block of Merrie Rose Avenue in northeast Charlotte at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, according to CMPD. That’s a residential area close to Interstate 485 and Caldwell Road.

Serenity is known to frequent uptown Charlotte and recreational parks in the Charlotte area, police said in a news release Friday.

She was last seen wearing a pink dress, dark blue jeans and pink sneakers, according to CMPD. She is 5’6” tall, weighs approximately 110 lbs, and has red hair and brown eyes.

Serenity is known to approach strangers and make decisions that may be harmful to her overall safety and well-being, CMPD officials said.
