A person was found dead in uptown Charlotte early Saturday, and police are treating the death as a homicide.
The person was found in the 500 block of West Third Street, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said on Twitter.
That’s near Truist Field, home of the Charlotte Knights AAA minor league baseball team.
Police said a male had been shot, WSOC reported.
Police haven’t released other details, including the person’s name, or said if they are looking for a suspect.
