Pedestrian hit by CATS bus in uptown, hospitalized with serious injuries

A Charlotte Area Transit System bus hit a person Tuesday morning in what paramedics described as a “pin in” in uptown. Injuries were serious.

CATS public relations said the crash happened at 6:04 a.m. near Brevard Street and 3rd Street.

A second pedestrian crash occurred near Charlottetowne Avenue and 7th Street.

Both pedestrians were taken to Novant Presbyterian Hospital, MEDIC said.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department declined to release any information about what happened.
