NC looking into death of man crushed by truck at Charlotte loading dock

The death of a 22-year-old man crushed by a truck at a loading dock in east Charlotte Monday morning is being investigating by the N.C. Department of Labor, a spokesperson said.

“Because it is an open investigation, no further comment can be made at this time,” Department spokesperson John Wesley Waugh said in an email.

Idrisu Issaka was injured at 8:01 a.m. at a loading dock near 7308 East Independence Blvd., a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police incident report said.

Multiple businesses are located in a shopping strip mall at that location in southeast Charlotte.

Issaka died at a hospital from his injuries, police said.
