Authorities are still seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who robbed at gunpoint a BB&T bank in south Charlotte last Thursday.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department released a new photo of the suspect on Monday.

The robbery happened at about noon at the branch at 5639 Ballantyne Commons Parkway, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.

A man brandished a gun and demanded money from a clerk, then ran out of the bank.

CMPD described the suspect as a black man in his late 30s or 40s, about 6 feet tall, heavily built, wearing a light-colored T-shirt, a baseball hat with the number 48 on it and khaki pants.

Authorities are asking that the public call either the FBI’s Charlotte office at 704-672-6100 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600 with any information about the suspect.
