A Lyft driver was carjacked early Saturday morning in NoDa, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report.

The suspect was a potential Lyft customer, the report said.

The driver was about to pick up the suspect around 5 a.m. in the 3300 block of North Davidson Street, the report said.

The driver reported that the suspect ordered her to get out of the car at gunpoint, according to the police report.

Her silver Toyota Corolla was stolen, along with her purse, an iPhone, cash and credit cards.

The driver was not hurt, and police were still looking for the car and the suspect as of Sunday afternoon, police said.

About two weeks before the carjacking, a driver for Uber reported that she was sexually assaulted by a passenger north of uptown. A man was arrested about two days later in that case.

Back in May 2017, a 44-year-old Charlotte Uber driver went missing, and his body was found five days later in a Rock Hill field.

LaVendrick Smith contributed reporting.
