Police find man shot, killed in west Charlotte. Homicide investigation underway. 

Police found a man shot dead in a neighborhood in west Charlotte late Sunday.

Paramedics said he the man, who authorities have not publicly identified, died at the scene, on the 2600 block of Southwest Boulevard, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department news release. That’s close to Lasalle Street, between West Charlotte High School and University Park Creative Arts School.

The man was found close to 10 p.m. after someone in the neighborhood called 911, police said.

CMPD officials say a homicide investigation is underway.
