A juvenile remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after becoming the third person shot in October on the same east Charlotte street block, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

The identity of the youth has not been released.

The shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, near an apartment community in 8000 block of Trousdale Drive.

That’s also where one person died in a “justified homicide” and another was wounded on Oct. 5, CMPD said in a news release.

Police say the latest victim was found and taken to a hospital after someone reported an assault with a deadly weapon.

Details of how the shooting happened have not been released, but “detectives are speaking to all parties involved.”

“We are not looking for any outstanding suspects,” CMPD said.

The man killed Oct. 5 was identified as 50-year-old Demetrius Leon Allen, CMPD said. He was found around 11 p.m., police said.

“Officers also found a second victim on scene suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. That victim was transported by MEDIC with non-life threatening injuries,” officials said.

An investigation concluded the killing “justified,” but details of the confrontation have not been released.
