A Saturday night shooting in the middle of uptown is among three killings reported overnight in Charlotte, according to police.

No arrests have been made in the cases, which are being investigated as homicides, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said. Investigators have not indicated the killings are related.

The first occurred around 10:30 p.m. Saturday, April, 12, in the 300 block of East Trade Street, which is shared by the Spectrum Center and Charlotte Transportation Center.

“Officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon with injury call,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a news release. “Officers discovered one victim who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported with life-threatening injuries and pronounced at a nearby hospital.”

The victim has been identified as 31-year-old Qualo Trevon Danials, CMPD said in a case update.

At 2 a.m. Sunday, April 13, police were called to the 4800 block of Wallingford Street (just east of the intersection of Woodlawn Road and Interstate 77) to find “a victim with stab wounds,” officials said.

“The victim was transported by MEDIC to a nearby hospital and pronounced deceased,” CMPD said.

He was later identified as Stanley Alfonzo Williams II, 37, officials said.

The third killing was discovered shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday, when police responded to the 200 block of Eastway Drive, just south of North Tryon Street.

“Officers discovered a victim who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by MEDIC,” CMPD said.

The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Javier Lee Martinez Hernandez, officials said.
