NC police find gunshot victim dead in a car; second victim hospitalized
Gaston County Police found a person dead of a gunshot wound in a car Friday, as well as another occupant who had been shot.
Police said they found the vehicle just before 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of Goble Street and Huffman Road, south of Gastonia.
The injured occupant was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, police said.
Police aren’t releasing details of the shooting, including who was shot, what might have prompted the shooting and whether authorities are searching for a suspect.
Police said only that the investigation remained “active” Saturday.
