CMPD officers in military gear arrest man in east Charlotte neighborhood

Charlotte police officers in military gear and with military vehicles arrested a man in the Windsor Park neighborhood on Wednesday morning just before 11:30 a.m.

Police were on Carriage Drive around 10:40 a.m. Officers told neighbors to shelter in place.

Video showed a battering ram vehicle cruising down a street. A helicopter hovered.

Officers at the scene declined to comment.

Police did not identify the man they arrested or what the charges were.
