A teen driving over 100 mph is accused of killing two women at a south Charlotte intersection in December, police said in an arrest warrant affidavit this week.

Lorin Elizabeth Manley and Gloria Jeane Manley were pronounced dead at the scene by MEDIC after the Dec. 27 collision at Ardrey Kell Road and Red Rust Lane, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department news release.

Jason Anthony Scott, 18, was arrested on two counts of involuntary manslaughter and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury after he was released from a hospital this week, police said.

Scott was driving a 2013 BMW 335i when he hit the women, who were in a 2011 Honda CR-V SUV, police said. Police found a minor in the women’s car who was unconscious. MEDIC took the minor to a hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police have provided no update on the person’s condition this week.

Police urged anyone who saw the crash or has information about the wreck to call them at 704-432-2169, extension 6, or the Charlotte Crime Stoppers anonymous tips line at 704-334-1600.
