Bicyclist killed in crash with motorcycle identified by Matthews Police Department

A 54-year-old bicyclist who died in a crash near Interstate 485 in Matthews on Monday night was identified by police Tuesday in a news release.

Andrian Anthony Visser, 54, was killed in a crash involving a motorcycle near the exit ramp at East Independence Boulevard, the Matthews Police Department said.

The crash occurred at 8:04 p.m. on March 23, according to the news release.

Visser was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorcyclist taken to the hospital in critical but stable condition, police said.
