Looking for a six-figure gig? Here are $100K salary jobs available in Charlotte

A recent survey from personal finance site Bankrate found that 56% of U.S. workers plan to look for a new job in the next year – and some high-paying positions are available in Charlotte.

The City of Charlotte currently has nearly 100 job openings, and some of those positions pay upwards of six figures.

New city employees also receive various benefits, including paid vacation, paid sick leave, medical and life insurance coverage, and more.

Below is a list of city agencies with open positions paying $100,000 annually.

Aviation

Charlotte’s aviation department is seeking an airport planning and environmental manager to lead the planning division at Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

The maximum salary for the position is $134,585, according to the job listing.

Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and seven years of airport-related experience or a master’s degree and five years of airport-related experience. Applicants must also have experience and knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental land use laws.

According to the job listing, the department is also searching for a conveyor load bridge technician, with a maximum salary of $100,291.

The position is responsible for performing journey-level work installing, preventive maintenance, and repairing electrical and mechanical systems at the airport.

Applicants must have a high school diploma, at least five years of experience or an associate’s degree and three years of experience.

Charlotte Water

Charlotte Water is searching for an application development support manager to oversee critical applications and programs and to serve as assistant division manager.

The maximum salary for the position is $148,380, according to the job listing.

Applicants must have a degree from an accredited college or university in information technology, computer science, or a related field, and a minimum of three years of supervisory experience.

According to the job listing, the department is also looking for a utility operations manager with a maximum salary of $100,429.

The person in this position will be responsible for supporting the customer service division’s systems and service delivery activities and establishing new standardized operating practices.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, five years of water or wastewater experience, a water meter technician certification, and national incident management systems certification.
