Friday, Jan. 27

Dance the night away at Royal Bliss Brewing’s Disco Boogie Night. The annual event will feature a DJ running a costume contest, dance contest and more. 7 p.m. 7532 Royal Bliss Court, Denver.

Saturday, Jan. 28

Sample wine, sweets and gourmet foods at Experience Wine & Sweets at Merino Mill in Mooresville. The event will take place a second time Feb. 25 at Embassy Suites in Concord. Session 1 goes from 1-4 p.m., and Session 2 is from 5-8 p.m. Ticket prices start at $40, and designated drivers can purchase tickets for $20. 500 S. Main St, Mooresville.

Relive the ‘60s and ‘70s at The Ultimate Doors Tribute. The Ultimate Doors was formed to help preserve The Doors’ music and bring an authentic experience to old and new fans of the band. 9 p.m. Must be 21+ to attend. See Delta Fire Duo — a band that blends soul, rock. pop and country — at Horsefeathers Roadhouse. While you’re there, snack on some of the bar’s house-smoked chicken wings. 2 p.m. 3746 Mount Pleasant Road, Sherrills Ford.

Monday, Jan. 30

Stop in between 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at BaoBao, which recently began serving lunch. The restaurant in Huntersville’s Northcross Shopping Center serves fresh, handmade Chinese food, including Xiao Long Bao and Sheng Jian Bao. 9715 Sam Furr Rd #C, Huntersville.

Cheer on the Davidson Wildcats men’s basketball team as they take on the VCU Rams. (And make sure to check out parking options before you go.) Tickets start at $8.39 plus fees. 7 p.m. John Belk Arena, 200 Baker Drive, Davidson.

Wednesday, Feb. 1

Browse the work in Jacolby Satterwhite’s “Finding Home Again” exhibit at Van Every/Smith Galleries at Davidson College. The exhibit includes his digital animated series, Birds in Paradise, which features a mythological, queer universe inspired by pop culture, African folklore, ritual, video games and personal narratives. (Note: Nudity and other content that may not be appropriate for younger audiences is included, as are projections and some flashing lights/imagery.) The exhibit continues through March 26. Thursday, Feb. 2

Network with business professionals while enjoying a cup of coffee at the Charlotte Business Group’s Lake Norman Chapter’s monthly Coffee Connection event.
