Taco Bell fan favorite gets a spicy twist — and there are new tacos. What to know
Taco Bell’s latest offerings include a twist on a fan favorite.
The new Cheesy Jalapeno Mexican Pizza arrived Thursday, Sept. 7, on menus nationwide, according to the California-based taco chain.
The entree is a spicy take on the original, featuring two tortilla shells layered with seasoned beef and refried beans topped with pizza sauce, nacho cheese sauce, a three-cheese blend, diced tomatoes and jalapenos for a little kick.
It’s not the only item joining the menu.
Taco Bell unveiled a slate of new offerings heading into fall, including:
- Rolled chicken tacos
- $2 chicken enchilada burrito and chipotle ranch grilled chicken burrito
- Strawberry twists
- Wild Strawberry Freeze
- Wild Strawberry Creme Delight Freeze
Pricing may vary.
The rollout comes months after the fast food chain agreed to a truce in a lengthy legal fight over the “Taco Tuesday” trademark. Its push to “liberate Taco Tuesday” culminates this month with a celebration promising free tacos for all.
On Tuesday, Sept. 12, Taco Bell said it will partner with DoorDash to help pick up the tab on customers’ Taco Tuesday orders when they buy from participating vendors serving Mexican cuisine.
The offer is valid in 49 states where the Taco Tuesday trademark was canceled, except New Jersey, the restaurant said.
