Two people in Michigan are dead after a family says a 24-year-old woman was killed by her ex before he took his own life.

On Aug. 29, police responded to a report of a shooting, according to a Facebook post by the Hamtramck Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found two people dead, police said.

Donald Frame told WDIV he was there the moment his sister, Brianna Frame, was killed. He said Brianna Frame’s 10-month-old daughter was also there.

“She’s screaming, and then I saw him shoot her in the face. And then I went to grab my dad, and then I told him that she’s been shot,” Donald Frame told the news outlet.

Brianna Frame’s family said her daughter’s father killed her before taking his own life in front of their child, according to a GoFundMe page.

Her cousin, Alicia Lepkowski, said she is “praying for every woman that is going through domestic violence,” the GoFundMe page said.

“She was a good mom. Even still with her passing, there are still packages coming to the house that she ordered, stuff for her baby,” Lepkowski told WDIV

Brianna Frame’s “life was her daughter and she enjoyed every minute of the 10 months she was able to raise her,” her obituary said.

Police said there are no other suspects and no threat to the public. McClatchy News reached out for additional information but did not immediately hear back.

Hamtramck is about a 6-mile drive north from Detroit.
