Have you run for and/or held elected office before? (Please list previous offices sought and/or held)

No

Please list your highlights of civic involvement

I’ve donated my time to youth sports, volunteering as a basketball coach for my daughter’s team.

What are the most important issues facing Pineville, and how would you address them?

Transportation and affordable housing are the most important issues facing Pineville, in my eyes. My goal is to make sure Town Council allocates funds properly to make sure the needs of the Pineville community are met.

What strengths do you bring to the position that set you apart from your opponents?

I have a pulse on the younger demographic in Pineville, but I’m also aware of the needs of those who have lived in the town for the last 25+ years. I believe my youth, along with my ability as a strong communicator, will help inject life into the Pineville community and elicit more passion from my fellow neighbors to make Pineville a great place to live.

How will you engage with your constituents to make sure they are represented by your decisions?

My goal is to make sure everyone in the community understands they have someone on Pineville Town Council who is looking out for their best interests. I want them to know that every decision the Town Council makes will be to improve the overall quality of their day to day life.

Why do you want to hold elected office?

To make a positive impact in my community and ensure Pineville has the necessary resources to continue to grow in the right direction.

The General Assembly has given Mecklenburg County permission to put a referendum on the ballot to raise the county’s sales tax to fund road, rail and bus projects. Will you vote in favor of the referendum? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe the tax increase will help improve transportation i.e. widening roads and bringing an additional light rail stop further south to Pineville. I believe making reliable transportation more available to those who need it is extremely important.
