A woman who found $800 blowing around a North Carolina parking lot isn’tas lucky as she might’ve thought.

Randle Hartman told police he left an envelope full of the cash on the hood of his truck in the Liberty Storage Solutions parking lot in Marion last week, according to a news release from the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office.

As the wind blew, cash flew around the parking lot, the sheriff’s office says.

A woman then pulled up her in truck, snagged the cash and drove off, according to the sheriff’s office. She was caught on camera wearing jeans, a yellow shirt and green coat.

Now the rightful owner — and police — want the cash back.

The sheriff’s office says it’s “on the hunt” for the woman who grabbed the cash from the parking lot and is asking for the public’s help finding her.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Burlin Ballew at 652-2237 or text TIP MCDOWELLSO and information to 888777.
