Six months after Helene ravaged Western North Carolina, where do things stand?

The Charlotte Observer’s Nora O’Neill and The News & Observer’s Richard Stradling posed this question and more to experts from the region related to issues of housing and transportation.

Panelists included Tim Anderson, Regional Engineer, North Carolina Department of Transportation, Division 13; Carol Pritchett, the Mayor of Lake Lure; Nathan Ramsey, Executive Director of Land of Sky Regional Council; and Lance Mills, a Helene survivor from Swannanoa.
