Snowfall totals from an overnight storm varied across the Charlotte region on Wednesday, a National Weather Service meteorologist said.

Union County near Monroe saw the highest amount at 6/10ths of an inch, NWS meteorologist Rodney Hinson told The Charlotte Observer.

Eastern Rowan County logged the second highest amount at a half inch, followed by southeastern Mecklenburg County and the Fort Mill area of York County, South Carolina, at 4/10ths of an inch, Hinson said.

Totals elsewhere included:

Charlotte Douglas International Airport: 3/10ths of an inch.

Davidson in northern Mecklenburg County: 1/10th of an inch.

Cabarrus County: 3/10th of an inch.

Gaston County: 2/10ths of an inch.

Iredell, Cleveland and Catawba counties: Trace amounts, meaning less than 1/10th of an inch.

Lincoln County: No snow was reported, so maybe a trace at best fell, Hinson said.
