Justyn Hamilton, Independence: 6-foot-10 Temple recruit had 24 points, 15 rebounds, four blocks in a marquee win over United Faith in Saturday’s Southeast Hoops Challenge at Vance High. On Friday, the night before, he had 18 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks against Vance.

Sarah Billiard, Covenant Day girls: 22 points, 17 rebounds, six steals and five blocks in Thursday’s 48-20 win over High Point Christian.

Stephen Edoka, Concord First Assembly: 30 points, 11 rebounds, four assists, four blocks in a 74-73 upset of then No. 6 Cannon last week. Edoka hit a game-winning 3-point basket.

Aniya Finger, Mountain Island Charter girls: freshman had 35 points, 13 rebounds, 10 steals, four assists and four blocks in a 61-38 win over Highland Tech Saturday.

Cam Hamilton, Vance: 31 points, seven steals and six rebounds in a 76-64 three-overtime win over reigning N.C. 4A state champ Charlotte Catholic at the Hoop Challenge Saturday.

Jae’Lyn Withers, North Mecklenburg: 26 points, nine rebounds against West Meck, and 23 points, 14 rebounds against Berry in a pair of wins last week.
