AJ Smith, Hickory Grove and Randy Johnson, Charlotte Latin: Had a terrific battle in Latin’s 71-65 win at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge. Smith finished iwth 28 points, 12 rebounds and two steals. Johnson made 17-of-22 free throws and had 30 points and seven assists.

Saturday’s #BIG5 Boys Performers

Jaden Bradley, Concord Cannon: had first triple-double in the history of the 10-year Charlotte Hoops Challenge in a 78-72 win over Ardrey Kell. Bradley had 21 points, 11 rebounds, 10 assists and four steals. Teammate DJ Nix had 26 points, three rebounds.

Garrett Hien, Concord First Assembly: 22 points, five rebounds, two steals in a 68-64 win over Independence at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge. The game matched two Sweet 16 teams.

Tristan Maxwell, Trayden Williams, North Mecklenburg: Maxwell had 29 points in a 100-75 win over Concord Cox Mill in the championship game of the Leroy Holden Classic. Williams had 28. They shared the MVP of the tournament.

Daniel Ransom, Vance: 16 points, 10 rebounds in a 67-31 win over West Forsyth.

Jackson Threadgill, Davidson Day: 17 points, five rebounds, three assists for Charlotte 49ers recruit in a 53-41 win over Victory Christian in the Buckets Brand championship game at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge.

Aniya Finger, Hopewell: 31 points, 13 rebounds in a 61-51 win over the Burlington School at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge.

Taylor Henderson, Myers Park: 22 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 52-39 win over Waxhaw Cuthbertson at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge.

Meghan Rogers, Ardrey Kell: 10 points, seven assists, five steals and five rebounds in a 46-44 win over Concord Cannon at the Charlotte Hoops Challenge at Myers Park.

Jessica Timmons, North Mecklenburg: game-high 24 points in a 73-45 win over Concord Cox Mill in the championship game of the Leroy Holden Classic.

Lauren Whitley, Community School of Davidson: team-high 16 points ina . 68-47 win over Lake Norman Charter in the consolation game at the Leroy Holden Classic at North Meck.
