Which 2 NC schools made the ranking of the top 100 high school football teams in America?
Two NC high schools are among the top 100 in the nation, according to a new poll. They are both in Mecklenburg County.
On Wednesday, MaxPreps released its top 100 high school football teams in America.
Only two N.C. teams made the rankings: reigning N.C. 4AA state champ Vance was No. 64. Vance’s I-MECK 4A conference rival Mallard Creek was No. 69.
In the Observer’s way-too-early preseason poll, Vance was No. 2 behind Hough. Mallard Creek, which returns four starters and has a new coach, was No. 9.
