After adding a top national hoops player, Lake Norman Christian picks up one of NC’s best.

Less than a week after adding one of the nation’s best sophomore guards, Lake Norman Christian has now added one of North Carolina’s.

Vance High’s Trey Green announced on Instagram late Monday that he is transferring to Lake Norman Christian, a K-12 private school in Huntersville with tuition costs from $9,750 to $11,350. The school also offers a home school option for high school students for $1,900 per course.

Green, a 5-10 sophomore point guard, will join California transfer Mikey Williams.

Williams announced last week that he is moving from San Diego to Charlotte and will enroll at Lake Norman Christian. Williams, a 6-1, 180-pound point guard, is a five-star recruit and top five player in his class. Williams has more than 36,000 followers on Twitter and 2.5 million on Instagram. He also has multiple fan pages on Instagram.

Williams scored 41 points in his first high school game last November and finished the season averaging 30 points, 6.7 rebounds and 4.9 assists. MaxPreps named him its National Freshman of the Year

Green, who has a scholarship offer from Winthrop, was an all-conference pick as a freshman at Vance. He helped the Cougars to a 22-7 record and led the team in scoring, averaged 14.8 points per game. Green also averaged 3.2 assists and 2.7 rebounds.

Green is the second high-profile transfer to leave Vance this year. Jaylen Curry, another guard, transferred to Combine Academy, the same school where Independence High all-conference forward Omarion Bodrick and Butler High 7-foot star Patrick Wessler have moved to.
