Welcome East Gaston to The Charlotte Observer Sweet 16 poll.
The Warriors, who have not been ranked this season, are 19-2 and have won seven straight games.
Senior Mccaskill Rivers leads the team at 21.4 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game. Teammates Trenton Sherrill (a junior averaging 16 points, seven rebounds, three assists) and Connor Rankin (a senior averaging 12.3 points, 9.9 rebounds and two assists) are also having big years.
East Gaston can lock up the conference title at home against Highland Tech (5-17) on Friday.
