NCISAA state championship central: Your guide to the finals
The N.C. Independent Schools will held state championships in spring sports, including baseball, softball, soccer, lacrosse, tennis and track on Saturday.

High Point Wesleyan (18-11) at Metrolina Christian (28-3)
Game 1: High Point Wesleyan 9, Metrolina Christian 4
Game 2: High Point Wesleyan 5, Metrolina Christian 4
After losing to Metrolina in the 2024 state final, Wesleyan wins the ‘25 title on a walk-off game-winner.
CLASS 3A
State championship series
Gaston Christian (18-4) at Sanford Grace Christian (23-5)
Game 1: Sanford Grace Christian 8, Gaston Christian 2
Game 2: Sanford Grace Christian 14, Gaston Christian 4
Grace Christian scored nine times over the second and third innings and swept its way to the NCISAA 3A championship.

Burlington Christian (24-1) vs. Freedom Christian (22-7), at Asheboro Zookeepers Stadium
Game 1: Burlington Christian 2, Freedom Christian 1
Game 2: Burlington Christian 12, Freedom Christian 1
The Royals finished their season on a 17-game winning streak, winning the 2A state championship. Lofton Gonzalez and Cooper Kelly each had three hits, as Burlington Christian totaled 17 hits against Freedom Christian pitching.

NCISAA girls’ soccer
CLASS 4A
Providence Day 1, Charlotte Latin 0, OT: In a battle of nationally-ranked teams, Providence Day (22-2-1) won its fifth state title in six years. Charlotte Latin ends the season at 20-3.

Saturday’s state championship
Davidson Day 3, Cape Fear 2: Davidson Day (14-2) won its third straight title beating Cape Fear, 3-2, on penalty kicks after two overtime periods and two periods of sudden death. Cape Fear ends the season at 16-4-1.

CLASS 1A
Saturday’s state championship
Crossroads Christian 4, Oakwood School 2: Crossroads Christian jumped to a 4-0 lead and held off Oakwood School to win the 1A title, in a match played at N.C. Wesleyan. It was the second championship in three years for Crossroads Christian.

Charlotte Latin (18-6) at Charlotte Christian (16-6)
Game 1: Charlotte Christian 3, Charlotte Latin 2
Game 2: Charlotte Christian 3, Charlotte Latin 0
Charlotte Christian wins: The Knights got shutout pitching from Morgan Banks on Saturday and beat Charlotte Latin, sweeping the NCISAA Division 1 championship series with the Hawks. Banks had a perfect game going into the seventh inning.

Freedom Christian (22-3) at High Point Christian (17-4)
Game 1: High Point Christian 8, Freedom Christian 3
Game 2: High Point Christian 12, Freedom Christian 3
High Point Christian wins: Kerry Langlitt singled, tripled and drove in three runs, as High Point Christian won 12-3 Saturday and completed a sweep of the Division 2 series. It is the fourth straight state championship for the Cougars.

Christ School 12, Durham Academy 4: Christ School’s Caden Paradine scored five goals in the championship win. Christ School (14-5), the No. 3 seed, upset No. 1 Durham Academy (16-3) on the road.

NCISAA girls’ lacrosse
DIVISION 1
Providence Day 14, Charlotte Country Day 8: Providence Day finished the season with a 20-1 record, beating rival Charlotte Country Day (17-7) at home.
DIVISION 2
Fayetteville Academy 16, Forsyth Country Day 13: Fayetteville Academy (16-0) completed an undefeated season and won the school’s first NCISAA Division II state title.
NCISAA boys’ team tennis
DIVISION 1
Saturday’s state championship
Carmel Christian 5, Charlotte Latin 1: Carmel Christian, led by four seniors, finished the season 17-0 with the state championship.
Three of the Cougars’ players will play in college next season. Latin ends the season at 15-9.
DIVISION 2
Saturday’s state championship
Davidson Day 5, Cape Fear Academy 2
Coach Kyle Cerminara’s Patriots won two of three doubles matches, then took three of four singles matches and captured the Division 2 boys’ team tennis championship.
Davidson Day won the championship with a roster composed entirely of freshmen and sophomores, led by sophomores Colin Cerminara (6-2, No. 1 singles) and Gabe Polk (6-2, No. 2 singles).
