Vote for The Charlotte Observer boys’ high school tennis player of the year

Here are the nominees for The Charlotte Observer’s boys’ high school tennis player of the year. To qualify, a player or doubles team had to be a state finalist or a state champion in the NCHSAA statewide individual event or No. 1 singles champion in the NCISAA finals.

The poll closes Friday.

You may vote as often as you like.

Notes: Poll results may not always be shown. The Observer will run several polls this week for spring sports player of the year. The athlete will the most votes among all the polls will be featured in an article.

Meet the nominees

Carson Brown and Lawson Miller, East Lincoln: Brown and Miller reached the NCHSAA 3A state championship match.

Colin Cerminara, Davidson Day: Won No. 1 singles in the NCISAA Division II state championship.

James Dover and Rex Dover, South Point: The Dovers beat East Lincoln’s Carson Brown and Lawson Miller to win the 3A state championship.

Jackson Grathwohl, Pine Lake Prep: Granthwohl reached the NCHSAA 2A individual championship final.

Hamilton Huitt, Covenant Day: All-state pick led Lions to the NCISAA state title.

Kai Villagomez, Butler: Villagomez beat Green Level’s Trishiv Premanand to win the NCHSAA 4A state championship.
