Hatzopoulous has 45 kills, 19 blocks, 18 digs and 14 aces for Davidson Day (8-4) this season.

Melanie Hoffman, West Lincoln golf: The Rebels’ senior shot a 3-over-par 39 to earn medalist honors in a match at Lincolnton Country Club on Aug. 19.

West Lincoln, which shot a team score of 132, beat East Rutherford, Lincolnton and South Iredell in the same match.

Reagan Hare, North Lincoln volleyball: The Knights’ senior had eight kills, 11 assists, three digs, two aces and a block in a 3-1 win at Lincoln Charter on Aug. 18.

Hare also had six kills, 10 assists, two aces, one dig and one block in a 3-0 win over East Lincoln on Aug. 19.

Hare had five kills, four assists, five digs and a block in a 3-0 loss to Hickory on Aug. 21.

Hare has 36 kills, 45 assists, 14 digs, 10 blocks and nine aces for North Lincoln (5-1) this season.

Elaine Kirby, South Mecklenburg field hockey: The Sabres’ junior scored four goals to help South Mecklenburg beat Carolina Day, 7-0, in its the season opener.

Kirby was an all-conference performer for the Sabres last season.

Gia Lowe, Mooresville volleyball, Sr.: The Blue Devils’ senior outside hitter, who won athlete of the week after Week 1, had 17 kills, including the 1,000th of her high school career, to go with 11 digs, one ace and one block in a 3-0 loss to Community School of Davidson on Aug. 19.

The next day, Lowe had 16 kills, 17 digs, two aces and a block in a 3-0 victory at Christ the King.

Lowe finished off the week with 16 kills, 15 digs, four aces and a block in a 3-1 win over Hickory Ridge on Aug. 21.

Lowe has 105 kills, 78 digs, 14 aces and nine blocks for Mooresville (6-2) this season.

Katie Pilon, Charlotte Country Day field hockey: The Buccaneers’ senior forward scored two goals and had one assist in a 8-0 win over Forsyth Country Day on Aug. 19.

Pilon also scored a goal in a 2-1 win over defending NCISAA state champion Cary Christian on Aug. 23.

Seehe Veera, Lake Norman Charter golf: The Knights’ sophomore shot a 1-under-par 35 to lead Lake Norman Charter to victory over Christ the King, Lincoln Charter and Pine Lake Prep at the Tradition Golf Club on Aug. 18.

Veera had three birdies in her round.

Elise Wrenholt, Cannon School cross-country: The Cougars’ senior ran a personal-best 18:30.20 to finish as runner-up in the Girls’ Championship race at the Carolinas’ Kickoff at Metrolina Christian on Aug. 23.

Wrenholt helped Cannon School to a seventh-place finish.
