Charlotte-Area High School Football Players of the Week 09.28.15

Melvin Rouse, Charlotte Latin: five catches for 246 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s win against Fork Union (Va.) Military. He had one carry for 64 yards. Rouse’s receiving total was a school record and the eighth-best in Mecklenburg County history. It was the most receiving yards for a Mecklenburg County player in three years.

Jaret Anderson, Charlotte Catholic: 23 carries for 252 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-14 victory over Berry.

Garrett Shrader, Charlotte Christian: 14-for-20 for 257 yards and a school-record six touchdowns in a win against Carolina Pride.

Chazz Surratt, East Lincoln: 16-of-25 passing for 346 yards and five touchdowns in a 56-7 win Thursday against Bandys.

Brandon Keller, Northwest Cabarrus: a junior defensive lineman, Keller blocked a field-goal attempt as time expired to help his team beat Cox Mill 7-6 in the Coddle Creek Cup game.
