NASCAR mansions in the news

In June, NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. sold his mansion north of Charlotte for a record $12.2 million, the highest-priced sale in the greater Charlotte area, according to Jack Wagner, spokesman for Corcoran HM Properties.

The 9,986-square-foot mansion east of Mooresville includes 18 European-style equestrian stables and an outdoor entertainment area with a vanishing edge upper pool, a pool house/cabana and a putting green.

The buyer was Bob Mueller Jr., a motorsports competitor who co-owns Streetside Classics, billed on its social media channels as “the nation’s #1 classic car dealer, with over 1,600 cars in stock.”

Also in June, retired champion NASCAR driver Martin Truex Jr. listed his 8,763-square-foot Lake Norman mansion in Mooresville for sale for $7.5 million, according to Ivester Jackson/Christie’s International Real Estate.
