The Charlotte Hornets have changed their diagnosis of guard Malik Monk's right thumb injury; he has a sprain rather than the original fractured diagnosis from Friday.
It's unclear whether Monk might be able to play in any remaining games at the NBA Summer League. The Hornets are guaranteed at least two more games in the elimination tournament that concludes that event.
The initial diagnosis for Monk's finger injury was that he would be out and re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks.
