Carolina Panthers

It’s early but are the Carolina Panthers ready for preseason test against Jets defense?

The Carolina Panthers will face a tough task, on both sides of the ball, on Thursday when they host the New York Jets in a joint training camp practice for the second year in a row.

Unlike last year, though, the matchup will take place in Charlotte before a preseason battle at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday.

While Aaron Rodgers, Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson may skip out on the exhibition game, the trio of impressive offensive stars should be participants in the joint practice against the Panthers. Similarly, Bryce Young and the Panthers’ offense should have their hands full with the likes of Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, C.J. Mosley and Quinnen Williams on the opposite end of the field.

On the latest episode of The Observer’s Panthers podcast, “Processing Blue,” reporters, Mike Kaye and Alex Zietlow, discuss the upcoming battles with the Jets. The pair also debate whether Young should play in the second preseason game of the summer after skipping the 17-3 loss to the New England Patriots last week.

Plus, Kaye offers his thoughts on former Panthers pass rusher Haason Reddick, who has requested to be traded from the Jets this week.
