Ex-Carolina Panthers star puts Charlotte mansion on the market for $10.7 million
Former Carolina Panthers star linebacker Shaq Thompson is selling his south Charlotte mansion for $10.7 million, according to Premier Sotheby’s International Realty.
Thompson listed his 10,957-square-foot gated estate on Friday, about a month after signing a one-year free-agent contract with the Buffalo Bills.
Thompson played his entire 10-year career with the Panthers before the team released a goodbye statement on social media in February.
Known as Three Little Birds, the estate is located in the 5500 block of Carmel Park Drive.
The home includes a two-story great room with dual chandeliers resembling those in a grand European hotel lobby, according to its listing.
Other features include a main-level primary suite, two offices, a home theater, spacious kitchen, formal and informal living areas, a playroom, and a billiards lounge with full bar. Its wellness center has a gym, sauna and steam shower, according to the listing.
The 1.6-acre fenced property also includes a resort-style pool, a covered cabana and a full-size sports court.
Charlotte-based Arcadia Homes built the light-stucco home, and Charlotte-based Christopher Phelps Design Group was the architect.
The home has six bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
Ben Bowen of Premier Sotheby’s Lake Norman-Cornelius office is the exclusive listing agent.
“Every detail has been thoughtfully curated to offer an exceptional lifestyle of elegance, privacy, and comfort,” Bowen said in a news release by Naples, Florida-based Premier Sotheby’s.
