Charlotte office buildings sold for tens of millions of dollars to out-of-state owner
A trio of office buildings in north Charlotte has been sold for $58.5 million to an owner based in Salt Lake City.
Located at Interstate 77 and W.T. Harris Boulevard, the Harris Corners Corporate Park totals about 358,000 square feet. The seller, an entity affiliated with New Boston Fund, paid $49.6 million for the buildings in 2011, real estate records show.
“We invested in Harris Corners due to the terrific quality of both the asset and the rent roll,” Jon Gillman, a senior vice president with New Boston Fund, said in a statement. The office park is 84 percent leased, with 40 tenants.
Bridge Investment Group, the buyer, is a privately held real estate firm with almost $8.9 billion worth of assets under management.
Trinity Partners represented the seller, and said the location and proximity to retail and residential areas made it popular on the market.
