Big doggone smiles for the camera by Charlotte dogs

There were a lot of dogs ready for their close-up in Charlotte Saturday.

“Paws and Pics,” the first of what is hoped to be an annual dog photography event, took place at Sharon Presbyterian Church on Sharon Road.

Kim Hollis of BARKography offered free professional portrait sessions of dogs at the event, sponsored by Mathers Realty.

Donations of pet food and supplies were accepted for the Charlotte Humane Society.
