Kim Hollis of BARKography offered free professional portrait sessions of dogs at the event, sponsored by Mathers Realty. Donations of pet food and supplies were accepted for Charlotte Humane Society.

    More than 6,000 families will get help with gifts, including bicycles and food for Christmas this week through the Salvation Army.
