Mike Pence visit will bring 'sporadic' road closures to Charlotte
Vice President Mike Pence is in Charlotte today to tout the Trump administration's tax cuts, and as a result, drivers can expect road closures in the city.
From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., there will be road closures between Charlotte-Douglas International Airport and Park Expo, where Pence will be speaking.
The closures will be sporadic, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said in a statement, urging drivers to be patient.
Police, however, didn't specify which roads will be closed. Drivers may want to leave earlier for a destination to avoid running into the closures.
