The man killed in Charlotte Sunday night is the oldest victim of the year
A 54-year-old man was shot and killed in northwest Charlotte on Sunday night, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said.
Police found Adam Truesdale with multiple gunshot wounds around 10:30 p.m., according to police.
Truesdale was taken to Carolinas Medical Center and pronounced dead, police said.
Another person was with Truesdale at the time of the shooting. It took place in the driveway of a home on Jennings Street, which is off Lasalle Street and a couple of miles from uptown, police said.
Truesdale is the 26th person killed in Charlotte this year and the oldest victim, according to records kept by the Observer.
Police are still investigating.
