Police search for suspect in north Charlotte homicide
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect in Sunday’s killing of 34-year-old Lucas Lorenzo Baldwin in north Charlotte.
Baldwin died at the Tanglewood Apartments in the 4500 block of Wynbrook Way, police said. He was the city’s 37th homicide victim this year.
Police obtained warrants charging 42-year-old William Vandale Medlin with murder and possession of a firearm by a felon.
Medlin should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
He was last seen driving a silver Range Rover with a 30-day temporary plate. Late Tuesday, police said they had found the Range Rover in CMPD’s Metro Division but not Medlin.
Anyone with information should call 911.
