Police investigate fatal stabbing in west Charlotte late Tuesday
Police are investigating a fatal stabbing in west Charlotte on Tuesday night.
Police found a male victim with stab wounds in an outside common area of an apartment complex in the 3200 block of Timberbrook Drive, off Tuckaseegee Road. The victim was pronounced dead at Carolinas Medical Center.
The victim was stabbed at about 8:30 p.m. when a group of people began arguing and then several began fighting, police said.
“During this fight, an unknown suspect stabbed the victim and then fled the scene,” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said in a news release.
