Roderick Davis, DeJawon Joseph round out Democratic field for Charlotte mayor
Two other Democrats are running in the Sept. 15 primary.
Roderick Davis, 31, is a Charlotte native in the video production business. He said he has a bachelors degree in criminal justice from South University, a Savannah-based online institution.
A volunteer with LGBT outreach programs, he’s running in part to give gays a voice in government.
“I’m running to increase awareness, and make sure there’s a fairness when it comes to politics,” he said. “Because I know my people aren’t represented.”
The other Democrats, DeJawon Joseph, could not be reached despite repeated attempts.
Neither candidate reported contributions on recent finance reports.
