On Larry ‘2 Chainz’ Fedora’s attempts to be hip, and UNC football’s ‘Freak Show’ recruiting night
On the eve of one of North Carolina football’s most important football recruiting events, Tar Heel coach Larry Fedora has released a parody video where he pokes fun at himself, showing just how “hip” he is.
Fedora’s dry delivery is funny.
“One of the hardest things about recruiting these days,” he begins, “is being relatable to these young kids these days. I’m lucky because I’ve got a great group of guys that keep me up to do date and hip.”
Luckily @CoachFedora is hip, really hip. #ThisIsCarolinaFootball pic.twitter.com/VtHcMzd3Cs

The video was released Friday, one day before the annual UNC Freak Show recruiting event. The invitation-only Freak Show (Saturday, June 16) is for the Tar Heels top targets. This year, 2018 commits are expected to attend (and at least one former Tar Heel-to-NFL quarterback) along key recruits in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 classes. Registration starts at 6 p.m. and recruits should hit the field by 8.
Back in Chapel Hill for the Freak Show tonight. Let's get it! @CoachFedora @CoachHeck_ @CoachJP_UNC @CoachCKap @CoachBrewerUNC

Scotland County’s Zamir White, the nation’s top high school football recruit at running back, visited Chapel Hill last week. He was on campus early Saturday, posting Twitter videos of himself dunking on campus.
