Alma maters of UNC national champs Maye, Meeks into high school basketball poll

Hough High and West Charlotte, two longtime rivals that produced a pair of UNC national champions, are in the Observer’s Sweet 16 boys basketball poll.
UNC national champions Luke Maye (Hough) and Kennedy Meeks (West Charlotte) graduated from the two schools.
West Charlotte (2-0) is in at No. 16. Hough (2-0) joins at No. 14. Hough visits Sweet 16 No. 1 Cox Mill Tuesday.
In 2013, Luke Maye and Kennedy Meeks made the All-Observer boys basketball team: Luke Maye of Hough, B. J.
