Salisbury: Hornets won their fourth game in five days, beating rival North Rowan 51-49 on a 12-foot jump shot from Oshaun Robinson at the buzzer. Salisbury, No. 12 in the Observer’s Sweet 16 poll, is 17-2 overall.

Ardrey Kell: Knights (16-4) have won nine of their past 11 games, losing to only Hopewell and Olympic.

Drew Ford, Garinger: 6-foot-1, 147-pound shooting guard, often forced to play center, had 19 points, 17 rebounds in Friday’s win over East Meck. Former Duke All-American Christian Laettner coached the Wildcats (4-16) in the game. Garinger ended a 9-game losing streak.

Evan DeVitto, Ryan Bonnett, Mount Pleasant: In a 62-49 win over West Stanly, DeVitto had a career-high 21 points and four assists; Bonnett had career highs in points (17), rebounds (16) and blocks (7).

Mallorie Haines, Davidson Day: led her team to a 90-67 win over Langtree Charter. She set a new career-high with 51 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Haines, who took an unofficial visit to South Carolina last weekend, made nine 3-point shots and was 8-of-10 from the free throw line. Haines’ performance was the most points ever by a Mecklenburg County freshman, male or female. It’s the third-best single-game scoring performance in county history.

BJ Mack, Oak Hill (Va): Mack, a former Charlotte Christian and Charlotte Catholic player, had 15 points, eight rebounds and an assist in 16 minutes of play Monday against Arden Christ School. The Warriors, No. 2 in USA Today’s national poll, beat Christ School 94-54. Mack is a 6-foot-8 junior forward.

Elijah Moss, Salisbury: 15 points in Monday’s 51-49 win over North Rowan, on five 3-point makes.

Jah’Quez Sanders, Queens Grant: 24 points, seven rebounds, six assists, four steals in a 76-64 win over Carolina International. Teammates LB Boyette (17 points, eight rebounds, six assists), Khalil Chapman (12 points, 12 rebounds, three steals) and Jeremiah Murphy (14 points, six rebounds) also had strong games for Queens Grant. Tavion Jones had a game-high 30 for Carolina International.

Hough (11-8, 5-4 I-MECK) at No. 1 North Mecklenburg (19-1, 10-0), Tues, 7:30: The Vikings can win a share of the league title with a victory, which would be their 13th win in a row. Hough has won two of its last three and would love to upset its arch rival on the road.

No. 2 Independence (19-1, 10-0 Southwestern 4A) at No. 6 Butler (17-3, 7-3), Tues, 7:30: Independence can get really close to the Southwestern 4A championship with a road win. The Patriots are up two games on Rocky River (15-4, 8-2) and three over Butler with four games to play. Independence plays Rocky River at home Feb. 6.

No. 11 Providence Day (20-9, 5-1 CISAA) at No. 10 Charlotte Christian (19-6, 6-0), Tues, 7:30: Providence Day has won the past five conference titles and must win Tuesday to have a shot at a sixth. Charlotte Christian, which rallied from 13 points down to upset the Chargers 67-65 Jan. 12, could get a commanding two-game lead with three games to play.
