Kingsley Ifedi, Vance: Senior helped Cougars avoid an upset by rallying from 14 points down in the final five minutes to force overtime against West Mecklenburg Friday. He threw two touchdown passes to tie the game, and a third to win it in overtime. Ifedi finished 27-of-41 passing for 343 yards and six touchdowns in a 41-34 overtime win. He ran 16 times for 152 yards. His six touchdown passes tied a school record.

Sam Hartman, Nolan Groulx, Davidson Day: Hartman completed 30 of 53 passes for 493 yards and two touchdowns in a 41-28 loss to Asheville Erwin. Groulx caught 14 passes for 287 yards and a score.

Deon Kendrick, Voshon St. Hill, Rock Hill South Pointe: In a 30-23 upset of nationally ranked Rock Hill Northwestern, St. Hill rushed 16 times for 130 yards and Kendrick ran 23 times for 137 and two touchdowns. St. Hill also caught three passes for 27 yards.

Travis Prince, South Mecklenburg: Had 163 yards rushing and two touchdowns in a 27-21 upset of Marvin Ridge.

Khamal Howard East Meck: 32 carries for 256 yards, 4 TDs in win over Berry Friday.

Sam Howell, Sun Valley: Sophomore quarterback completed 8-of-17 passes for 224 yards and five touchdowns in come-from-behind win against reigning N.C. 2AA champion Monroe Friday. He also rushed 10 times for 47 yards and a score.
