NASCAR chose to postpone the night race at Bristol Motor Speedway Saturday after repeated rain allowed for minimal laps over three hours.

The race was called a little after 11 p.m. and, weather permitting, will resume at 1 p.m. Sunday. So far, 48 laps were run of a 500-lap race. Kyle Busch led when the race was called.

There is also rain forecast for Bristol on Sunday. Under NASCAR rules, the race would have to reach at least the halfway point to be declared official.
